This has been another very exciting year for GIPSIL. We have developed several new initiatives as well as strengthening our core activities. We have continued to develop our partnership with Leeds City Council. This year we have been working with housing, Education and Social Services. These partnerships have helped us to maximise limited resources as well as enabling all of us to learn from one another. We have increased the number units in management and have been able to offer support over a wider range of need. Partnership working and a highly professional staff team here at GIPSIL have achieved this. Our plans for 1999/2000 include a new Family Centre, offering training, health advice and support to lone parents. Early in the New Year we will be working in partnership with Leaving Care on the "Quality Protects Programme". We also have plans to extend our education work with East Leeds Family Learning Centre.
